STRESS FREE LASH APPOINTMENTS
In life, they say you never stop learning. This is the approach you should always take when it comes to your lash business. Knowledge will help you progress and take you to the next level. If you strive for stress free lash appointments and want to make your life easier, then keep reading.
Packed with insider tips and tricks that can significantly improve your lash extension game, this blog covers lash prep to application techniques.
These hacks will help you create longer-lasting, more beautiful sets. Let's dive in!
For the best retention
- Always clean your clients lashes, make sure they are squeaky clean.
- Always use lash shampoo, even if you used makeup remover first.
Lash Prep
- If the lashes reflect the light, use a primer to open the lash cuticle.
- If the lashes are matte, use Lash Neutral PH Balancer to slightly close the cuticles (because matte lashes are more porous).
Using Micropore Tape
- Use micropore tape alongside the under eye patch, and cut it to the shape of the patch, leaving a 3-4mm edge.
- Secure the pads with an extra piece of tape on the cheeks - if the client likes to talk a lot, this will keep it in place even more.
Prep Before your Client Arrives
- To save time, prepare your lash palette before your client arrives. I usually stick my adhesive holder to my lash palette using tape, which avoids spilling anything onto my clients hair.
Anna’s Secret to Creating Perfect Fans
- Ensure your tweezers are clean, with no glue residue. I love using LashBase tweezer cleaner, even if I can’t see any visible glue stuck in between my tweezers, I always give them an extra clean just in case.
- No matter what, my bottle of perfect fan is always by my side to prevent my fans from closing - and from wasting time creating new fans.
Perfect Symmetry
- My best tip for a perfectly symmetrical set is to dot your mapping on the clients eyelid. This way, even if you tape up or stretch the inner corner, you will know exactly when it’s time to change the length.
- Remove the mapping pen from the eyelid with a wet application wand, I use lash shampoo but water works well too. Orange is the closest to skin color, so that’s my preferred choice (it’s easier to remove than other colors).
Try and implement these hacks into your next lash sets if you aren’t already doing them, they may just change your lashing life.
