All About Lash Lift Powder

Video Transcript:

1. You can mix step 1 in '50% solution: 50% powder' or a '30% powder: 70% solution' ratio with the powder.

The more powder you mix with your step 1 solution, the slower the solution will be, so just bear this in mind and adjust your timings accordingly.

2. Mix the powder and solution well to make sure your paste is thick and tacky, just like you can see it on the screen.

TIP: You need to disperse enough solution for 1 client, then add the powder in ratio to the solution depending on how thick you want to mix it. However, the ideal texture should be like peanut butter, thick but spreadable, If it's runny you need to add more powder and if it's crumbly and not smooth you need to add a little more solution.

3. Then applying your solution and powder mixture onto the eyelashes and the shields, make sure you press the eyelashes into the powder mixture. So you're applying the mixture onto the shields first, and then with a microapplicator, you are pressing the eyelashes into the mixture. Make sure you press them well. They might not adhere at the first go, but keep persevering and they will adhere eventually.

4. Make sure the lashes are covered from root to tips, after this step you can opt for adding the lifted covers to make sure the lashes stay securley on the shield or you can add the lifted lamination wrap as well. Just make sure if you are using the lamination wrap, it will speed up your solution, so adjust your timings accordingly.

Lash Lift Powder FAQs:

Q: How much lash lift powder should I use?

Read the table above, however the ideal texture should be like peanut butter, thick but spreadable. If it's runny you need to add more powder and if it's crumbly and not smooth, you need to add a little more solution.

50% solution to 50% powder would mean equal parts of both. 70% solution to 30% powder means you need more solution to powder and the same with 60% solution to 40% powder. Just add little by little and you should be able to tell by eye.

Q: Do I need to add powder to step 2 or tint?

No, powder is not needed for step 2 or tinting however if you would like to thicken them up, then you can. Remember to add extra processing time (see next question).

Q: Does using lash lift powder affect the processing time?

Yes, adding powder to your solutions will slow down the processing time, so make sure you add a little more time to process and check the lashes during the processing time.

You can use powder on the brows, however we would say it is generally not needed.

Of course you can. You will not need extra processing time with adhesive balm.
