Korean-Inspired Lash Lift FAQs
How much should I charge/should I charge more than a normal lift?
We priced the Korean-Inspired Lash Lift System exactly the same as our original Lifted. system. Essentially, it is up to you but you could charge more due to the fact that this is a new system that you have to invest in to learn. On the other hand, the product cost is the same therefore you won’t be losing money if you keep your prices the same.
What's the difference between this and the original system?
Cysteamine-based lash lifting solution uses cysteamine hydrochloride as the main active ingredient to break and reform the bonds in the lash/ brow hairs, creating a lifted, curled effect. Unlike traditional lash lifts, which rely heavily on thioglycolic acid or its derivatives (like ammonium thioglycolate), cysteamine is a gentler, non-thio alternative that works with the hair’s natural chemistry.
Cysteamine is an amino acid derivative found in the body, and when used in a controlled way, it lifts lashes effectively without causing excessive dryness or damage.
This cysteamine-based solution is perfect for clients with sensitive eyes or those wanting a gentler and safer lash treatment that won’t damage the lashes (providing the treatment is carried out as per instructions). It is also GREAT for brow laminations where the solutions make contact with the skin, as again, it is gentler and harder to overprocess.
A Cysteamine-based solution can also be applied to the whole lash. This is unlike TGA based lash lift products (like Lifted and Lifted Pro) which can only be applied up to 1-2mm away from the tips of the lashes to avoid potential damage.
Will you be discontinuing the original products?
No, the original products are still available and will not be discontinued.
Do I need a qualification to do this?
You need to be qualified in lash lifts to be able to carry out this treatment, however we also recommend the Korean-Inspired Lash Lift Masterclass to make sure you get the best out of your products and this method as a whole.
Do I have to use the Lash Lift Powder?
No, you do not have to use the powder, the lash lift powder is an alternative to using lash lifting adhesive to get the lashes onto your lash shield. Therefore you can still carry out a lash lift/ brow lamination treatment with Lifted. with Cysteamine, you would just need to use an adhesive instead.
How often can you carry out Cysteamine Lash Lifts?
As Lifted. With Cysteamine is a gentler formula for lashes and brows, you can re-treat your clients every 4-6 weeks. However, we recommend re-lifting when the lift has ‘dropped’ which can be up to 8 weeks. To sum up, do not re-lift lashes earlier than 4 weeks, and make sure you assess the client’s lash health.
Which lash shields should I use for a Korean Lash Lift?
The best lash lift shields for the Korean-Inspired Lash Lift are the Glueless Shields as they work for every lash type. Make sure you use the correct size for your client as you will be lifting the whole lash as opposed to the bottom section of the lash.
Should I patch test my clients?
Yes. This is a brand new system therefore it’s best to patch test to be extra safe and pass liability on to your client.
Can I use this for brow laminations?
Yes! In fact, we recommend it as a better option for brow laminations as it’s a lot gentler on the skin, reducing redness around the brows when you finish.
