Festival Lash Inspo

Festival season is here and that means bold makeup, glitter everywhere, and long weekends dancing under the sun (and the moon!). But for clients with lash extensions or lash lifts, festivals also come with one major challenge - lack of restrooms. Tents to porta-loos, it’s not exactly the ideal environment for lash upkeep.

As a lash artist, you can help your clients prep for their festival looks and maintain their lashes. With the right styling choices and aftercare plan, festival lashes can look fresh all weekend long, even without running water.

Retail Products & Essential Aftercare Tips

When your clients are heading to a festival, aftercare becomes a bit of a challenge. No basins, limited mirrors, and lots of dust, sweat, and glitter can make lash maintenance tricky. That’s why prepping them with the right retail products and advice is key to keeping their lashes looking flawless.

Here’s what you should recommend:

Lash Extensions Aftercare Kit

This kit is a festival lifesaver. It includes everything clients need to gently clean and protect their lash extensions. The foaming lash cleanser removes sweat, dust, and makeup build-up. Encourage clients to use a small amount of bottled water or micellar water with the cleanser if no basin is available.

Pro Tip: Advise clients to clean lashes at least once daily (ideally in the morning) to prevent irritation and keep retention strong.

Sleep Mask

When your clients are off to a festival, remind them that how they sleep will impact their lash retention, especially when they’re crashing in tents, cars, or on the go.

This Sleep Mask is designed with a contoured, domed shape and keeps pressure completely off the lashes, helping to prevent squashing, tangling, or premature shedding. It’s soft, adjustable, and lash-safe, making it an easy retail add-on for any client heading into festival season.

Pro Tip: Not only is this a great protective product, it’s also a simple way to add value to your service and increase your income while helping clients keep their sets looking great.

Oil-Free Makeup Remover

Festivals mean face gems, graphic liner, and lots of sparkly eye makeup which can wreak havoc on lashes if not removed properly. This oil-free formula is great to get makeup off AND it's safe for both extensions and lash lifts, it won’t affect retention. Again, get your client to use this with water (they can use a bottle like this) or miscellar water.

Quick Festival Aftercare Recap for Clients

  • Avoid facial oils or cream cleansers that can loosen adhesive.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face, and wear a protective mask.
  • Rinse or cleanse lashes daily, even a gentle spritz can make a difference.
  • Keep a spoolie handy for touch-ups throughout the day.

Now that’s out the way, let’s get into some inspo!

SIREN LASHES

This look is great for clients who want a soft wispy cat eye look. The quick and easy application of the YY’s can save you some time. YY’s are also known for giving great retention due to the larger surface area.

They are also suitable for both beginner and advanced lash techs - simply choose your lash map below and lash away!

WISPY LASHES

Wispy lashes are a festival must-have! Their fluttery, textured design gives a soft, boho vibe that’s perfect for daytime festival wear. They can also be amped up for after-dark drama. Think layered spikes, varied lengths, and anime vibe separation. Paired with dewy skin and braided hair for that effortless free-spirited goddess look.

Try a hybrid set with staggered lengths and light volume fans for a natural yet eye-catching style. A few longer spikes across the center or outer corners can elevate the glam without going full glam.

GLITTER LASHES AND DECALS

Glitter lashes at a festival are the ultimate statement. Whether you apply glitter spikes across the lash line or offer lash decals, these lashes will definitely go with your client's festival outfits.

COLOR LASHES

Colored lash extensions, a full, bold set or a pop of neon in the outer corners, these are an absolute festival favorite. Purples, pinks, electric blue, and even ombré fades add a creative twist to any look.

Tip: Suggest accent colors that complement your client’s outfits or eye color. For something more subtle, try a black base with colored tips for a peek-a-boo effect. Look at this blog for some color lash maps.
